"Abrahamaic Faiths"

This will be a short post, as I will be working on addressing Dr. Ed Peters curious attention toward Archbishop Blase Cupich.  As those who have read previous posts know, I have called for Pope Francis to either force Cupich to recant or remove him from his position.  That Dr. Peters has, for some reason, decided to address this topic, is very, very curious and I must comment in full.

There has been, over the past few months, a repetitive psychosis amongst many Catholic clerics to show solidarity with muslims and the Islamic faith in general.  Clerics have used the recent Islamic attacks as well as comments by western politicians to argue this solidarity of faith, claiming consistently that Islam is one of the "Abrahamaic faiths" along with Christianity and Judaism.  They say that all 3 faiths pray to the same God the father, even if the other two don't recognize the Son or the Holy Ghost.

As we all know, Our Lord incarnated as a Jew and the prophets of the Old Testament, all being Jewish, were writing prophesying about a future Jewish Messiah.  So the connection between Judaism and Christianity is clear and not debatable.  But Islam's introduction into this tradition is odd to say the least.

Nostra Aetate, from Vatican II, started this ridiculous theological analysis and now it has gone from being just annoying and incorrect to being potentially dangerous as our own clerics are using there position to tell Catholics not worry about muslims and are using our Faith to justify this suicidal position.  Just to be clear:

1. "Allah" isn't God the Father.

2. Islam doesn't recognize Christ as the Son of God, that He died on the Cross, and was resurrected on Easter Sunday.

3. Their moral code doesn't resemble Christian moral doctrine on ANY level.

4. Islamic sharia law doesn't reflect western law systems, all influenced by the western intellectual tradition and the Church, in any way.

Islam has been the major enemy of Christendom since the 7th century.  That Islam continues to be an adversary of Christendom cannot be debatable.  As Christians, we cannot be confused by dissident, confused, and diabolical clerics who through their words, actions and proclamations are encouraging a position that will lead to death and chaos for Christians.

Please don't be fooled -- the Islamic faith is all encompassing and addresses every aspect of life.  Their "god" is not our God.  All the saints recognized their faith as demonically inspired - we should recognize clearly the same position.
